Buo is an online store that helps people save money on their groceries and non-food products by sourcing and selling surplus products to day to day shoppers that would otherwise go to waste. Our approach supports producers, wholesalers and distributors to find new markets for their surplus stock, avoiding waste and reducing the environmental impact caused by it.
Nowadays, it appears that "cheap" is synonymous with "unsustainable" and “low prices” means “bad quality”. However, we believe we're on the path to re-discovering a way of shopping that allows people to save money whilst reducing waste, without compromising the environment. We’re building a solution where our purchasing decisions help us save money as well as reduce waste, rather than creating it.
We’re currently in our early (but very promising) days, operating from Barcelona, but soon we’ll start our expansion as and get closer to our vision of creating a global platform that enables people to save money and reduce waste at scale.
